That One Time…While Visiting Buckingham Palace…
My friends and I area little weird, especially when we’re together. Which is why we often find ourselves/put ourselves in funny, outright ridiculous situations when we get together. I have some great memories and hilarious stories with my friends. Even more so when we’re on vacation or somewhere new. One event that sticks out the most to me was when we were in London and we were visiting Buckingham Palace…
We were in Harrods, basically just browsing because we couldn’t afford anything in that place. BUT THEN we found something we could afford – masks of the Royal Family! Now, I’ve got a big ol’ fat crush on the Royals. I really don’t know what it is about them, but I’m that stereotypical American who finds them so fascinating. I’m “that girl” who watched the Royal Wedding live at like 3AM CST.
So on a whim we bought ’em – Kate, William, Harry, and the Queen herself. We left Harrods and had the brilliant idea of visiting Buckingham Palace to take pictures with the masks on in front of “our house.” We hadn’t been to the Palace yet, and since its one of the “spots you gotta see in London,” we thought we could have some fun with it.
And boyyyyyy did we.
Not only were we having a blast and were cracking up the whole time, talking in British accents and quoting MTV’s “Cribs,” but we were so surprised that everyone around loved it! People thought it was absolutely hilarious and even asked to take pictures of and with us!
Now every time I look back at these photos, I remember the uncontrollable laughter, the smiling strangers, and just all the fun we had that afternoon!
